PUBLIC NOTICE

RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN OF RUSSELL
The Russell Emergency Preparedness Plan requires that the residents of the Town be notified of the actions required should an emergency occur within the Town.

In case of an emergency, that would require the entire Town of Russell or part of the Town of Russell to evacuated, please note:
1.  Citizens will be notified by the Town of Russell Civic Centre Bell ringing continuously for 15-20 minutes.
2.  As soon as possible the R.C.M.P. vehicles will be driving around with sirens on notifying the citizens; and
3. If time allows there will be notification by telephone.

When you hear this warning please report to the reception centre, which is in the Russell & District Community Centre for registration.

Individuals who may require assistance during an evacuation need to contact the Town of Russell Office as soon as possible and identify themselves so that arrangements can be made to aid them in the event of an emergency.
