the Town of Russell Administration and Public Works Operation will be closed on
Monday, February 20th, 2012
There will be no garbage pickup on this day. Residents affected by the holiday should ensure their garbage is placed at the usual location for 8 a.m., Tuesday, February 21st, 2012.

An informational meeting regarding the status of the Russell Regional Multiplex will be held at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st, 2012 at the George P. Buleziuk Centre meeting room. An update on current construction issues and timelines will be provided as well as a question and answer session. |

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 194 of The Municipal Act that the Consolidated 2010 Financial Report, together with the related financial statements, has been deposited in the office of the Chief Administrative Officer of the Town of Russell and are available for inspection by any person at the Municipal office during regular business hours.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Water use during the recent hot, dry weather has placed a significant burden on the Town of Russell water plant. Consumption has spiked to a total in excess of 200,000 gals/day over the past couple of weeks placing water reserves for fire fighting in jeopardy.
The Council would ask for resident’s cooperation in limiting water usage over the next few weeks in order to avoid the need to implement use limitations.

REGARDING THE 2011 FINANCIAL PLAN
OF THE TOWN OF RUSSELL
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to subsection 162(2) of The Municipal Act that the Council of the Town of Russell intends
to present its financial plan for the fiscal year 2011 at a Public Hearing in the Russell Civic Centre, Brad Room on the 6th day of May 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Council will hear any person who wishes to make a representation, ask questions, or register an objection to the financial plan, as provided.
Copies of the financial plan will be available for review beginning April 19th, 2011 and may be examined by any person during regular office hours of the Town of Russell at 178 Main Street North, Russell, Manitoba.

CROW & BLACKBIRD
NUISANCE CONTROL PROGRAM
The Town of Russell will once again be operating a crow and blackbird nuisance control program. Over the past number of years Council has been able to find volunteers to help the community deal with the issue. For 2011 George Honey has been sanctioned by the Town and the entire nuisance program is being operated with the full cooperation and knowledge of the local R.C.M.P.
The Council would like to remind residents that the discharge of firearms within the limits of the Town of Russell is prohibited unless the individual or activity has been sanctioned by Council.
