Five municipalities, the Village of Binscarth, Rural Municipality of Russell, Town of Russell, Rural Municipality of Shellmouth-Boulton and the Rural Municipality of Silver Creek have come together to create the Asessippi Parkland Economic Development Corporation to help grow and strengthen existing and new businesses that contribute to the economic vitality of the region.

Parkland Regional Development Corporation

Mission Statement
"The Parkland Regional Development Corporation works for the municipalities, communities and organizations in the Parkland region. The PRDC will identify, coordinate and support Parkland’s regional economic development activities. PRDC will do this through enhancing current sub-regional and community economic development efforts and working towards fulfilling unmeet needs of the Parkland region".

Parkland Community Futures Development Corporation

Community Futures Parkland Inc. is a federally funded regional community economic development program.

Community Futures Parkland works with the communities of the Parkland in an attempt to achieve a cooperative environment within the region. This environment promotes leadership and supports individuals, businesses, organizations and communities through a coordinated strategic plan. It promotes economic growth, stability, business development, employment creation, a positive entrepreneurial environment and enhances quality of life. The program is locally controlled and delivered by a volunteer board of citizens from the Parkland.
