Welcome to Russell "Chamber Wine & Cheese"
"Welcome to Russell" is sponsored by the Russell Chamber of Commerce. It was started approximately 18 years ago when once a year the Chamber held a get acquainted evening for Chamber Members and new comers to the community.
A committee was formed to visit newcomers in their homes to welcome them to town. The committee now consists of 2 coordinators and 8 ladies who do visits to all area newcomers.
Each year on Beef & Barley weekend, a wine and cheese is held when Chamber Members and newcomers have the opportunity to meet.
If you know of someone who has recently moved to Russell, call the Russell and District Chamber of Commerce office at (204) 773-2456 and leave their name. An invitation to the next "Welcome to Russell" evening will be sent to them.
